GENERAL QUESTIONS
Where are you located, and do you travel for weddings?
We are based in Cincinnati, Ohio, but we happily travel to surrounding areas and beyond to document your love story. Whether it’s a local celebration or a destination wedding, we’re here to capture every special moment.
What services do you offer?
K Herman Photography specializes in wedding photography, engagement sessions, family and senior portraits, maternity and newborn sessions. We also offer special packages for unique events such as first birthdays, holiday sessions, and more.
What is your photography style?
Our style embodies timeless elegance and traditional charm with a modern touch. We focus on creating sophisticated and lasting images that are true to color and stand the test of time. We use our styling with all of our various sessions available.
For newborns we provide limited props for staging your baby. An example is "wrapped baby".
How far in advance should we book you?
For weddings, we recommend booking as soon as you’ve finalized your wedding date. Popular dates in the Cincinnati area tend to book up quickly. All other sessions are typically scheduled Tuesday through Thursday, either during the daytime or sunset hours. Newborn sessions are primarily Tuesday through Thursday late morning and early afternoon. During our peak season (late spring and fall) we suggest contacting us about 30 days prior to your desired date. Otherwise we've been known to schedule something within 24 hours! We want to help you as best we can so always ask!
What should wear to our session?
We recommend wearing neutral, timeless colors that complement each other without matching exactly. Think soft earth tones, muted jewel tones, or classic textures like linen, denim, or knits. Avoid bold patterns, logos, or anything overly trendy that might date your photos later on.
Most importantly, wear something that feels like you—comfortable, confident, and natural. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to help you coordinate looks or send over a few examples based on your session style and location.
Can pets join our session?
Yes! We love including furry friends in your photos. Pets are always welcome at our sessions, as long as the location allows them.
How can we book your services?

We pride ourselves on nearly immediate response via our site, email and social media outlets. If you don't hear from us within 24 hrs something is wrong so contact us again!! :)
How many photos will we receive?
Lifestyle sessions:
30 minutes: 25-30+ photos
60 minutes: 60+ photos
Weddings:
Our general rule is at least 100+ images per hour. In our history it tends to lean to more as we don't want to sacrifice any creativity nor miss a single moment!
How and when will we receive our photos?
At KHP we have a service that provides every client their own gallery! From this gallery you can view, share, download and even purchase a variety of print products!
Our production time for our Lifestyle sessions is approximately 7-10 days. For weddings with deliver a "first look" of 40+ images within 24-48 hours with the final photos delivered in 6-8 weeks.
Do you have printing services?
While we are not a printer, we do have amazing printers we trust and have seamlessly integrated into our client galleries. When you receive your personal gallery an online store is already linked to your pictures! You will receive professional quality products with ease.
How do we pay for our session?
All sessions require a retainer to secure your date and time. This is for weddings and lifestyle sessions. These retainers are paid online via a secure link that email to you. You can pay with credit card or Venmo. There is no fee for a retainer.
Balances for lifestyle sessions are due at the session. We prefer cash or check but will accept credit cards or Venmo for a 3.5% processing fee on the balance due.
Balances for weddings are due two weeks prior to the wedding day. We will provide an address to send a check for the balance due. We can also send an email invoice for payment via credit card or Venmo with a 3.5% processing fee.
WEDDING QUESTIONS
How many weddings have you photographed?
With over 13 years of professional, full-time experience, Kristina has had the privilege of documenting more than 600 weddings both locally in Cincinnati and across the United States.
What happens if we need to change our wedding date?
If your wedding date changes after signing the contract, a $500 change fee will be added and a new retainer will be required to secure the new date. Retainers are non-refundable (come off of the balance due), as the date is reserved exclusively for you and cannot be rebooked.
Do you provide a second shooter?
Most of our packages (4+ hours) include a second shooter to ensure every angle and moment of your day is beautifully captured. This is a great way to capture both the intimate details and the big-picture moments of your wedding day.
Will you help us with a wedding day timeline?
Yes! About 4-6 weeks prior to your wedding day we will reach out to schedule a meeting. During that meeting we will discuss your desired shots and poses and go over a timeline for the day.
When is the final payment for our wedding due?
The final payment is due two weeks before your wedding date. All money collected prior to the wedding is non-refundable. We accept payments via cash, check (payable to K Herman Photography), Venmo, and credit card. A 3.5% processing fee applies to balances paid via Venmo or credit card, but there is no fee for the retainer.
How long does it take to receive our wedding photos?
Your sneak peek of 40+ edited photos will be delivered within 48–72 hours of your wedding. Final edited galleries (for 6+ hour weddings) will be delivered digitally within 6–8 weeks.
